When FileMaker sorts records it happens on the client machine. Consequently, sorting can be a very painful process for users over a slow connection to a database.
This article is all about a technique for presenting records to the user in their descending order of creation. The main focus is showing the records in a portal, but with the extension of the application to other areas such as list and table view.
