We started to develop our own "utility knife" FileMaker plugin several months ago, but then the developer took a full-time job elsewhere. Our goal was to offer a totally free, open-source, cross-platform plugin that does a bunch of things developers would find useful.

We got as far as almost finishing the first function...the ability to send SQL queries into your database for finds, adding/manipulating records/found sets, etc. There is only one bug in that CREATE or DROP TABLE seem to hang FileMaker.
