FileMaker’s annual Cube Awards have been announced. The awards are designed to identify the UK’s top FileMaker (http://www.filemaker.co.uk) developers and reward them for the most innovative uses of FileMaker technology.
Prizes up for grabs for the winners include an iPhone 3GS for the category award winners.
The overall 'Winner of Winners' will be awarded holiday vouchers from Alastair Sawday worth £750, as the awards celebrate a third year of prize giving.
The entry categories have been widened for 2009, the Cube Awards now recognise the 'Best public sector solution' and 'Best private sector solution', with the best solutions from these categories taking the 'Winner of Winners Award'.
CJM Software, DataTherapy and NHS Pathways enjoyed success last year.
All entries for the 2009 awards must be submitted by 2 October 2009, the entrants will then be shortlisted for each category.
Shortlisted entrants will be invited to present their solution to a judging panel on 15 October 2009 where judges will score each solution in order to decide upon a winner for each of the categories.
A prestigious ceremony at the Royal College of Physicians, Regent's Park, London will be held on 20 November 2009 to crown the winners.
'The 2008 Cube Awards were a great success and it was inspirational to see some of the great ways in which our technology is being put to use around the UK," said Tony Speakman, Regional Manager for FileMaker in Northern Europe.
"I’ve seen some great things achieved by our developers this year so I’m confident that there have been some extremely innovative solutions implemented in the past 12 months; particularly in response to the testing economic climate."
Developers can submit their entry by visiting www.filemaker.co.uk/cubeawards.
