#1. NEW VIDEOS
-----------------------------------------
VIDEO #1: Solution Review: Layout Properties 3
After you've programmed the same thing over a hundred times (something we probably all do at some point), you finally figure out that making the solution more portable is the best way to go.
Fortunately, a lot of things we do routinely, within a solution, can be made portable. The next question is whether you let go of the need/desire to code it yourself, and leverage something that's already been done by someone else.
Of course, you have to learn the code which does what you desire (created by another developer), but this can often be a fraction of the time of coming up with it yourself.
Back in 2007, I was presented with a technique which is one that I use today for any and all of my solution navigation - provided it's a larger, more complex solution.
Watch this video about Layout Properties and you may discover that this might just be the best way to approach your solution navigation!

VIDEO #2: Keeping up with FileMaker news
Wow! It's not 1999 anymore! Ok, so maybe you've just now realized this and you're deciding it's time to keep up on the news in a more efficient fashion.
Well, if you not taken a look at using an RSS reader then maybe you should start. Here's some incentive, start with making it easier to digest all the possible FileMaker news that's out there.
In this video I show you how I do it. I use the wonderful online reader from Google.com.
Attached to this article is an OPML file which you can import into any reader you might use.
Enjoy the news!

#2. SEARCHFILEMAKER.COM A GREAT WAY TO SEARCH!
-------------------------------------------------------
This one is too easy! If you've got a question about FileMaker and you're looking to narrow down the scope of results to top FileMaker resources then use SearchFileMaker.com. It's easy-to-remember and easy-to-use.
Here's the cool part. It uses Google for finding things. Rather than searching the whole Internet. It allows you keep your search focused. There are a number of features, but I'll let you watch a video about that.
Find the video within the Scriptology Video Browser (see the news item just above) It's in the "FileMaker Help Resources" and is titled "Using SearchFileMaker.com". There are some great searching tips in there that help you find answers fast!
