SANTA CLARA, Calif.—April 29, 2008—FileMaker, Inc. today announced that qualifying customers may upgrade to FileMaker Pro 9 for only $119 (a savings of $60 off the regular upgrade price). FileMaker Pro 7, 8, and 8.5 users can take advantage of this limited-time upgrade offer to get three versions’ worth of new features for one low price by upgrading now.
The special upgrade prices expire Sept. 26, 2008.
FileMaker also announced special upgrade pricing, through Sept. 26, 2008, for FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced, the FileMaker Pro 9 Five-User Upgrade Starter Pack and volume licensing.
The company also said that as of Sept. 26, 2008, technical support and replacement media will no longer be available for FileMaker 7 products.
Compelling reasons to upgrade:
There are numerous reasons for FileMaker Pro 7, 8 and 8.5 users to upgrade to the award-winning FileMaker Pro 9:
o Connect live to SQL sources (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle SQL)
o Get alerts about vital changes in your data, such as low inventory levels using the new Conditional Formatting
o Keep other workgroup users updated by emailing links to your database
o Get productive faster using the new Quick Start Screen
"With FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced, both developers and users can manage information in ways that are more creative and intuitive than ever before,” said Ryan Rosenberg, vice president, Marketing and Services, FileMaker. “Upgrading to FileMaker 9 is an easy choice that we’ve made even easier with special low pricing. Anyone who wants to be productive in minutes, get more value out of legacy data sources, or share their databases with others in a few clicks should take advantage of this offer."
FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced support the newest operating systems, including Windows Vista and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
Teams of 10 or more can also take advantage of the limited-time 10+ Server bundle. This bundle includes 10 seats of FileMaker Pro 9 plus a free FileMaker Server 9 for the discounted price of $2,850, a savings of over $1,100.00.
