#0. AN INTRODUCTION:
-------------------------------------------------------
In this portion of the email I'd like to welcome Sean Mills as a contributing author to ISO FileMaker Magazine. While I typically look for small contributions to simply get things started, I have to say that Sean just knocked one out of the park - BIG TIME!
For many years I've longed for a plug-in to seamlessly join PDF forms with FileMaker data. Primarily because so many industries still use PDF forms. Since the magic plug-in never seemed to appear, Sean pieced the parts together and made it happen for free.
As the details of the article state, getting a subscription now, especially if you need to work with PDF forms is certainly worth it! I tried like crazy to get Sean to work with me to create a product out of this technology because it's just so valuable. A few conversations later, and I had to give in and make it a subscribers only video release. While looking through the file Sean provided, I found that I had to adopt the Custom Function naming methods that Sean is using. This solution was well worth the wait Sean. Thanks!

#1. NEW ARTICLE: Populating PDF Forms
-------------------------------------------------------
If you're in an industry where standardized forms are the norm, then the holy grail is automatically pushing data from your database into the required PDF. Yes, it's true, we still live in a world where forms consume most of the process. And this probably won't change too much over the years.
If you've ever dreamed of taking those field values and shoving them right into the required form then the included technique file and videos in this mini series will provide you with everything you need.
Not only has the work been done but there's a ton to learn from this wonderfully crafted FileMaker solution. The file is ready-to-go, the solution is based on freely available technology and the videos are worth the price of admission.
Don't miss this series of videos if you have any desire to merge data from FileMaker into preexisting PDF forms!

#2. SEARCHFILEMAKER.COM A GREAT WAY TO SEARCH!
-------------------------------------------------------
This one is too easy! If you've got a question about FileMaker and you're looking to narrow down the scope of results to top FileMaker resources then use SearchFileMaker.com. It's easy-to-remember and easy-to-use.
Here's the cool part. It uses Google for finding things. Rather than searching the whole Internet. It allows you keep your search focused. There are a number of features, but I'll let you watch a video about that.
Find the video within the Scriptology Video Browser (see the news item just above) It's in the "FileMaker Help Resources" and is titled "Using SearchFileMaker.com". There are some great searching tips in there that help you find answers fast!
Enjoy the article!
