London – 12th December 2007 – FileMaker has announced the winners of the inaugural Cube Awards recognising businesses and developers for their database skills.

The FileMaker Cube Awards were created to recognise the efforts of individuals and organisations that have developed solutions, which were innovative and improved productivity through the use of FileMaker technology.

The event ceremony was held at The Queen's Club, London. The awards were divided into four categories – Education, Business, Impact and the Champion award with a special Winner of Winners award announced at the end of the ceremony.

The 2007 Cube award winners:

* The Impact Award – Cancer Research, London Research Institute
* The Champion Award – Paul de Halle, Linear Blue

Chris Green, editor of IT PRO (www.itpro.co.uk) and one of the three judges, presented the awards at the event commenting, "It was really inspirational to see how so many people had taken a solution and adapted it to meet or solve a specific issue. We always talk about technology solving business challenges but to see it in practice was really rewarding."
