LONDON, UK, March 21st, 2005 - FileMaker today announced the availability of a Print4U, a free print job costing software solution that will address the estimate and quoting process for SRA3 digital print. It is one of a range of free FileMaker starter solutions aimed at a variety of key sectors including education, health, and creative.

Print 4 U is a 'lite' version of a solution originally created by FileMaker developer MaJic for Laser Graphics, a digital print and design company based in Milton Keynes. It specifically addresses the estimating/quoting and job costing process for SRA3 digital print by storing the cost profile for the digital printer and incorporating these costs together with apportioned overhead costs for the company in order to calculate job and sell value.

Says Bill Smyth at Laser Graphics: "Three years ago, we could not find a solution to our MIS problems which would cover all aspects of the business. Creating a bespoke solution with FileMaker and using the expertise of MaJic Solutions has solved that problem and has resulted in a saving of at least two man-days per week in job estimating alone.
