JOB SUMMARY:Create new features and upgrades, test software in order to evolve the current database using FileMaker Pro for both PC and Macintosh computers. Respond to problems that users report. Development of new databases as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Treat information on CCSA clients, employee or Board members in a confidential manner
Continuous evolution and refinement of the current databases as necessary in order to provide an excellent product
Maintain the current TEACH and WAGE$ FMP databases for North Carolina and other states
Design new FMP database solutions as needed
Respond to, and troubleshoot problems that the users report
Train users and provide technical assistance as requested by manager
Maintain good interpersonal and collaborative relationship with peer developers
Develop and maintain a work plan
Use established protocol for documentation for all activities related to database development
Perform other tasks as assigned by agency leadership
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Effective oral and written communication skills with internal and external clients
Ability to self-direct and attention to detail
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
Thorough knowledge of both MacIntosh and PCs and proficient in Word and Excel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in any field
Extensive experience in database development and at least 2-4 years of professional experience designing databases using FileMaker Pro 6 and above
SPECIAL WORKING REQUIREMENTS:
An automobile at his/her disposal; a valid, non-suspended NC driver’s license and a current automobile liability policy with continuous coverage. Reasonable accommodations may be made at agency’s discretion.
Must be able to manipulate and operate office supplies and equipment. Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential responsibilities.
