FileMaker Pro Application Developer

Mind Over Machines, an IT consulting services firm with a sustained record of performance and growth in the federal and commercial markets, named the 2006 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year for the Eastern Region, has an opening for a FileMaker Pro Application Developer at our customer’s site located in Bethesda, Maryland.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with the Project Manager and/or Business Analyst to gain an understanding of the business and system requirements to determine optimal application program design.
• Interact with application development team members to design, code, test, implement and maintain client/server-based and web-based applications using software development best practices.
• Write system design and application code documentation.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• FileMaker Pro version 7 or higher
• PhP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Mac OS X/Server Operating System
• Microsoft .Net Framework using ASP.NET, VB.Net, Web Services
• Windows, Unix, Linux, IIS
• Ability to resolve cross browser/platform compatibility issues
• Experience with good security practices in application development
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure
• Ability to communicate well and work in a collaborative team environment

EDUCATIONAL/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
