Mind Over Machines, an IT consulting services firm with a sustained record of performance and growth in the federal and commercial markets, named the 2006 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year for the Eastern Region, has an opening for a FileMaker Pro Application Developer at our customers site located in Bethesda, Maryland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Project Manager and/or Business Analyst to gain an understanding of the business and system requirements to determine optimal application program design.
Interact with application development team members to design, code, test, implement and maintain client/server-based and web-based applications using software development best practices.
Write system design and application code documentation.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
FileMaker Pro version 7 or higher
PhP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
Mac OS X/Server Operating System
Microsoft .Net Framework using ASP.NET, VB.Net, Web Services
Windows, Unix, Linux, IIS
Ability to resolve cross browser/platform compatibility issues
Experience with good security practices in application development
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure
Ability to communicate well and work in a collaborative team environment
EDUCATIONAL/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
